Mahin Hussain was born in Lahore, Pakistan but lived all her life in the vibrant city of Karachi. If a city ever played a vital role in one's life it was this city of Karachi making Mahin the resilient and strong person she is today.

Finishing her bachelors in Textile Design with a major in Print Design from the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture in Karachi, she wanted to do things a little differently. At the time of run of the mill Chinese and Thai imported bags, she started freelancing with a retail giant to create a new trend; Pakistani handmade bags. Bags created a special affinity with Mahin's creative spirit and led her to do a Diploma in Fashion Accessories from the London College of Fashion.

Her year in London proved to be the turning point in her career. She returned to Karachi and in 2008 started her eponymous hand bag label. Mahin Hussain strongly believes in promoting Pakistani skills, highlighting the strengths of her country & constantly strives to develop a brand which abides by international standard but has a very obvious Made in Pakistan flavour. Her designs are special and are made with great care, attention to detail and all her love.

Mahin Hussain Accessories is a very loud bright label which works with Leather & fabric as its main raw materials. The leather is sourced from tanneries in Karachi. Hand embroideries and embellishments are done by the skilled forces of Shah Faisal Colony & the construction of the bags is done in Golimar. Both these areas have a reputation of violence but the people here are determined to succeed.

Mahin moved to the UK in 2017. After completing a Digital Textile Design course from the reputable Central Saint Martins, she is now focusing on her passion for prints. Her personalised wall art 'letter series' are bold bright and perfect for bringing your home spaces to life.
